New to Grow
I provide a supportive, direct, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore what’s keeping them stuck and learn how to respond to life with more clarity and confidence. Much of my work focuses on relationships, anxiety, emotional regulation, and major life transitions. I help clients understand their thoughts and emotional patterns without shaming them for having those experiences in the first place. My approach isn’t about “fixing” you...it’s about helping you better understand yourself, build healthier habits, and feel more grounded in your choices. I value honesty, warmth, and collaboration in therapy. You’re the expert on your life; my role is to help you connect the dots, challenge patterns that no longer serve you, and develop tools that actually work in real life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is a 60-minute intake designed to give us a solid foundation for our work together. I’ll ask questions about what’s bringing you to therapy, your current stressors, your background, and what you’d like to change or understand better. Many clients find it helpful to think of this session like a first visit with a new doctor where there are a lot of questions, but the goal is to get a clear picture, not to overwhelm you. You’re always in control of what you share, and we won’t go into anything you’re not ready to discuss. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying patterns and setting a direction for therapy so our work feels intentional and tailored to you. My goal is for you to leave feeling understood, supported, and clearer about what therapy with me will look like moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Clients often describe me as warm, empathetic, and easy to talk to. I take emotions seriously and don’t minimize experiences, even when we’re working on changing unhelpful patterns. Another strength of my approach is that therapy is both supportive and practical. I regularly offer tools, reflection prompts, and homework so growth continues outside of session. Clients often appreciate having tangible strategies they can apply in real life rather than therapy feeling abstract or unstructured. I also focus on helping clients build emotional regulation skills, strengthen boundaries, and make intentional choices aligned with their values. When clients engage with the process, many begin noticing minor shifts within the first few months.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with individuals who feel emotionally overwhelmed, stuck in repetitive patterns, or unsure how to move forward in their personal or relational lives. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, disconnected from themselves, or frustrated by how they react in certain situations, even when they “know better.” You may be highly self-aware but still struggle to regulate emotions, overthink, or trust your own decisions. Some clients feel they give too much to others and not enough to themselves; others feel stuck between wanting change and fearing it. I’m a good fit for clients who want more than just a space to vent. If you’re open to reflection, willing to try practical tools, and interested in understanding why you respond the way you do, we’ll work well together. You don’t need to have everything figured out; curiosity and honesty are enough to start.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because it helps clients understand the powerful connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my work, CBT isn’t about “positive thinking” or ignoring difficult emotions, it’s about learning how to respond to your thoughts in a way that feels more supportive, grounded, and aligned with who you want to be. Together, we look at the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and gently challenge the ones that no longer serve you. I use evidence-based tools to help you regulate emotions, reduce anxiety, and make intentional changes in your day-to-day life, while still honoring that your reactions often make sense given what you’ve been through. My goal is to help you build awareness, develop healthier coping skills, and create lasting change without minimizing your lived experience.
