Hi! My name is Gail, and I have worked with children, individuals and families for almost two decades! I love working with all populations, but I especially love helping people who are struggling with inner woundedness left over from childhood trauma. I love the healing process, and I appreciate supporting clients as they work through their struggles, heal their childhood wounds, show up authentically as they are, and connect more deeply with their children, their partners, and themselves. I would be honored to help you through the healing process and partner with you on your path to joy and self-discovery. I especially enjoy working with young to middle aged women, because I have been through all those transitions- from high school and college graduation, job changes, dating, friendships, self-discovery, and finally marriage, pregnancy, and raising children. My specialties include being a Certified Trauma Professional (CTP) an understanding of the Enneagram (I'm a certified teacher/professional through several schools) as well as conscious parenting- I am certified coach (CPC) by Dr. Shefali Tsabary. I consider myself a "human potentialist." I believe in my clients; I believe in their ability to create goals, experience profound growth, and create positive and lasting changes. I would appreciate any client who seeks me out for therapy to be open to looking inward, embracing their full potential, and have some open mindedness towards the Enneagram, since I refer to it in my work. If you need any assistance in making an appointment with me here is the information for my intake team: +1 (786) 755-1863 reception+Gail8358@growtherapy.com

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our fiirst session together, I will ask you how much you know about me and how comfortable you feel diving into what brings you into therapy; if clients want me to do some additional ice breaking i am happy to tell them more about my personal philosophy in regards to therapy, and then if they have filled out an intake form, I can go ahead and bring up some questions or areas of interest. the main goal of this initial session is to begin the process of building rapport; I want to know what my client views as being the problem and what my clients goals are for therapy, I do not project my opinions on my client, I want my client to be able to visualize the goals/life they want for themselves and to be an active participant in expressing how they would like to see that happen (of course, I am always happy to help and guide the process)

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I consider myself a human potentialist and I guide and encourage my clients to come up with solutions that work for them. I strive to get to know my client on an individual basis, and encourage my client to get to know him or herself better, since I believe my clients often have the resources they need for finding their way through problems, they just need guidance and support. Also, I am a no-judgment zone, my job is not to give advice, my job is to work alongside my client to find more authentic and productive ways of living.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I primarily use CBT, because I believe most of our problematic pattern s involve false interprepations of deep seated feelings in the body, left over from unhealed wounds and false beliefs about how we and others are supposed to be; I also use the enneagram and other forms of trauma therapy in my work.
