Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or simply looking for support in navigating life’s challenges? This is more common than you might think. You’ve already taken an important first step by being here. I’m Lance, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and doctoral candidate with over ten years of experience helping people find balance, clarity, and practical strategies for managing life’s ups and downs. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore solutions that work for your life.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll explore what brought you to therapy and what matters most to you right now. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to understand your experiences and priorities, and together we’ll start identifying goals that are realistic and meaningful. My goal is that you leave feeling supported, hopeful, and clear about how we can work together to create positive change. Fees for PRIVATE PAY: Individual Therapy: $100 per session /// Family Therapy: $130 per session
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Connection & Collaboration: I foster a warm, supportive environment where adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, stress, or mood challenges feel heard, understood, and empowered to find solutions that work for them. /// Specialized Expertise: I work with adults dealing with chronic illness, neurodegenerative conditions (including Parkinson’s Disease/Parkinsonism), older adults, working professionals, caregivers, and clients facing grief, self-discovery, or relationship challenges. My approach is culturally responsive and LGBTQ+ affirming. /// Evidence-Based Approach: I combine Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed CBT, Narrative, and Mindfulness techniques to help clients develop practical skills, reflect on their experiences, and make meaningful changes. /// Results-Oriented: Clients leave sessions feeling supported, equipped with actionable strategies, and more confident in managing life’s challenges. /// Flexible & Accessible: I offer non-traditional appointment times, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate caregivers, busy professionals, and adults with unique scheduling needs.

I work with adults seeking support in navigating life’s challenges, from everyday stress and anxiety to major life transitions. I am best positioned to serve: Individuals navigating chronic illness, neurodegenerative conditions (including Parkinson’s Disease/Parkinsonisms), or significant medical changes. /// Caregivers and care partners supporting loved ones with neurological or chronic health conditions, managing stress, burnout, or caregiving demands. /// Adults exploring self-discovery, identity, or personal growth, including younger adults navigating career, relationships, or life transitions. ||| Professionals managing stress, burnout, or career-related transitions. /// Clients facing grief, loss, or medical trauma. /// Older adults navigating life changes associated with aging. ||| Clients seeking culturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming care. /// I work collaboratively to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore strategies and tools that help you move forward with clarity, resilience, and confidence.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use a solution-focused approach because many people come to therapy already carrying a lot of stories, insights, and efforts, and don’t always need to relive everything to move forward. We spend time noticing what’s helping, what you’ve already survived, and what matters most to you right now. Together, we focus on small, realistic changes that can make life feel more manageable or meaningful, especially during times of transition or uncertainty. My role is to walk alongside you, help you clarify what you want, and support you in taking steps that feel possible, not overwhelming.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I combine CBT with a trauma-informed approach because life often doesn’t follow a straight, predictable path. Our minds can sometimes get caught in loops, making stress, loss, or change feel more overwhelming than they actually are. Together, we’ll work on helping you notice how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected, always in a way that feels safe and manageable for you. I’ll focus on your strengths and resilience, sharing practical ways to respond differently, while respecting your pace and what you feel ready to explore. This approach is about creating a supportive space for you to move forward.
Narrative
I use Narrative Therapy to help you see your story through your eyes. Life events, transitions, and challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming or defining, but together, we will gently explore the different parts of your experience and what they mean to you. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you can discover your strengths, connect with your values, and start writing the next chapter of your life with more clarity and options. This journey is about reclaiming your voice, gaining new perspectives, and noticing the parts of your story that empower the person you’re becoming.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use mindfulness to gently help you notice what’s happening right now, without any judgment. This way, you can choose how to respond instead of just reacting impulsively. Life changes, stress, or uncertainty can sometimes put us on autopilot, but mindfulness offers a gentle space to step back, observe, and make choices that truly align with your values. Together, we'll explore simple, everyday practices that can help you stay grounded, calm, and more connected to what matters most. It's not about forcing positivity; it’s about giving yourself kindness and permission to be present, even when things feel tough.
Strength-Based
I rely on strength-based perspectives that focus on what’s already working in your life, the skills, values, and resilience you bring, and help you build on those strengths to face challenges and transitions. Life can feel overwhelming, but you already have resources and capacities that often go unnoticed. Together, we identify and amplify these strengths, creating practical steps and strategies that feel achievable while honoring who you are. This approach is about noticing what you can do rather than what you can’t, and helping you move forward with confidence and possibility.
