Feeling stuck, stressed, or misunderstood? You’re not alone — and support is closer than you think. I’m Karie Lynn, a neurodivergent Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor certified in ADHD and autism, and the founder of Imagine Perspectives, a mental health practice established in 2024. I work with children, teens, and adults who are ready to navigate life’s challenges, build confidence, and find practical strategies to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. Since 2012, I’ve also offered adult and pediatric hypnotherapy to help clients achieve emotional balance, clarity, and personal growth. At Imagine Perspectives, therapy isn’t just about sitting and talking. It’s about creating a warm, welcoming space where you feel safe, seen, and understood. We use interactive tools, games, art, and play to help clients explore challenges in ways that feel natural, engaging, and empowering — meeting each person exactly where they are. In addition to therapy, we offer one- and two-day interactive workshops for children and adults. These experiences provide a chance to pause, reset, and gain tools that build resilience, spark confidence, and inspire hope — even when life feels overwhelming. They’re practical, fun, and designed to leave participants feeling refreshed and ready to approach life with a new perspective. Whether you’re here for therapy or a workshop, my goal is the same: to create a space where you feel truly seen, supported, and empowered. A place where your experiences are honored, your challenges met with compassion, and your strengths celebrated. Because everyone deserves a space to grow, connect, and simply be themselves.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Neither do I, my schedule may have more openings, if the times available do not work for your schedule, so be sure to reach out and see if anything else is available. Your first session is simply a chance for us to talk and get to know each other. There’s no pressure to share anything before you’re ready—you’re always in control of what you discuss. We’ll explore what’s been going on, what support might look like for you, and what you hope could feel different in your life. I may ask some gentle questions so I can better understand your experiences and strengths, especially if you’re navigating ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, or past trauma. You’ll also have space to ask questions and see if working together feels like a good fit. From there, we can begin identifying goals that feel meaningful and supportive for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I’m Karie Lynn, a neurodivergent Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families. I specialize in ADHD, autism, anxiety, stress, and executive functioning — the areas where many clients feel stuck or overwhelmed. What makes my approach different is my lived experience with ADHD and autism, which allows me to truly understand the challenges my clients face. I combine this insight with practical, relatable strategies — not just textbook advice — so clients can apply tools that actually work in real life. Therapy with me isn’t just talking. We use art, play, games, and interactive tools to make sessions engaging, safe, and empowering. Through one-on-one counseling or interactive workshops, my goal is the same: to help clients feel seen, understood, and supported, while building confidence, emotional awareness, and strategies to navigate life more effectively.

My treatment methods

Hypnotherapy

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist, Hypnotist & Public Speaker I have been a hypnotist for over 10 years. My training started in comedy stage hypnosis and then I realized that I could help others therapeutically and continued on with my education to become a mental health therapist. I opened my Hypnosis Office here in Brainerd in 2011 and landed at the Franklin Arts Center as I worked towards my Bachelor’s in Psychology and then my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is now licensed in the state of Minnesota. Combining the Conscious Mind Work with the Subconscious Mind work using therapy and Hypnosis, client’s are able to decrease many symptoms that can feel defeating at times. Many people have parts of their mind that get stuck and sometimes there is a little deeper work that is needed to help client’s to heal that part of their mind. I have had many client’s come in with major life altering events that folks know have affected them, but once regression work and therapy is done, the client has a new found relief that is different then prior to hypnotherapy. My office is located in Brainerd, but I do travel from time to time to other towns to do hypnotherapy and workshops for multiple clients if there is a need. If you would like to pay via cash or HSA. I am working on getting credentialed to take insurance right now. Karie is Certified to work with all ages from 6 years old to 99 years young! Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Sometimes it takes a different perspective in order to accept things that have happened in a life. I work with clients to help them understand that we don't have to be ok with things, but we can accept and move forward.
