The initial session serves as the foundation for our therapeutic journey, ensuring that we are well-prepared to work together effectively and to achieve desired outcomes. In our first session, clients can expect a comprehensive intake process. We will begin by gathering general information to establish a foundation for our work together. Next, we'll focus on building a strong rapport, as I believe a trusting and comfortable therapeutic relationship is essential. Finally, we will work collaboratively towards creating a personalized treatment plan, tailored to the client's specific needs so they can reach their specific goals.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Taking a non-directive approach, allows the client to lead as much as possible, I often seeing clients as the expert of their own experiences. Three major components that help me cultivate relationships are empathy, unconditional positive regard, and congruence and genuineness.

Attachment-based

Have the client reflect on their relationships with their primary caregiver. Helping the client see how behavior's may be a reflection of early childhood dynamics. Looking at attachment wounding by telling their stories in a safe therapeutic environment.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Working with clients using techniques such as journaling, exposure therapy, relaxation techniques, vivid imagery, role play, and the 3 C's: Catch it, Check it, and Change it.

Gestalt

A humanistic form of therapy with a holistic view. As the therapist I refrain from interpreting the event. Helping the client to step into his/her own awareness leading them to greater knowledge and acceptance of patterns. Using the empty chair technique allows the client to reconnect with parts of themselves.
