I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over eight years of experience. I graduated from University of Las Vegas, NV where I have resided since 2007. As a Hispanic and bilingual clinician, I have extensive experience working with the Latino/Hispanic community, and appreciate working with individuals of the most diverse backgrounds. My approach to therapy is not only help you to develop coping skills, but also work core aspects that would lead to more sustainable results.
Our first meeting will consist of an initial evaluation. This allows me to gather important information about you, understand the challenges your are facing, and explore your expectations for services. After this meeting, we will both leave with a great understanding, and we'll agree on the approach to services. This is a great opportunity for you to discuss goals and address any questions you might have about therapy.
As a clinician I consider that warmth and openness are core to the way I conduct my practice. I take pride in being able to provide my clients with a space in which they can be validated, listened to without judgment, but also challenged. My greatest strength is to help you gain a deep understanding of yourself and the experiences that have shaped your life, which in my experience has led to the most sustainable results for my clients.
In my practice, I combine multiple approaches including Cognitive Behavioral, Family Systems, elements of psychodynamics, and client-centered methods. Every individual is different, and each one of these methods can be effective at different moments of the therapeutic process.
