New to Grow
I am a warm and compassionate counselor who strives to create a safe and supportive space for every clients aged 18+. My approach is rooted in empathy, acceptance, and respect, allowing individuals to share their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. I believe that each person’s story is unique, and I work collaboratively to help clients explore challenges, build resilience, and discover their strengths. My goal is to meet clients where they are and walk alongside them as they work toward growth, healing, and positive change. I focus on using cognitive behavioral therapy and solution focused therapy.
Our first session would involve getting your background and discussing your therapy goals. We would establish what your priority list looks like with regard to our work together. I would also explain some of the logistics of therapy sessions and address and other concerns you may have.
Like other therapists, I aim to be a support and resource for you in times of distress ranging from mild to moderate. Where I may differ from other therapists is in my experience with people from various parts of the country and my work with individuals with various disabilities. I also come from a nonjudgmental space and can help you determine steps that work with your unique value set.
I am best positioned to support individuals who benefit from processing their thoughts and feelings aloud, especially during times of transition or recent life challenges. I also work with those navigating unfinished business from the past or ongoing family conflict. My role is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can find clarity, strengthen relationships, and move forward with confidence and peace, guided by their personal values.
CBT has allowed me to help clients with reframing their experiences and connect how their thoughts affect their feelings and behavior.
SFBT helps me work with clients to move from processing to identifying steps to move forward.
