In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session together may look a bit different than our other sessions. During the first session my goal is to get to know you as a person and your story, therefore it will consist of a series of questions that help me get to know where you are coming from.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to truly listen to my clients. The client's story is what is most important to me as i develop therapeutic rapport with them.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am ready to work with clients with anxiety, depression, chronic medical conditions, grief, and suicidal ideation. I am ready to listen to a client's story and meet them where they are at in the therapeutic process. My job as a therapist is to listen, guide, and help the client move toward their therapeutic goals with support and empathy.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Negative thoughts play such a huge role in our mental health. CBT strategies help clients identify and work through the direct connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Collaborative Management and Assessment of Suicidality (CAMS)
CAMS is an evidence based therapeutic modality used to identify and address the drivers of suicidal ideation and suicidal thinking.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
DBT is an evidence-based practice that I use with clients to work directly on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindful thinking.
Experiential Therapy
As a board certified music therapist, I have lver 20 years of experience in using music to address mental health concerns.
