My life's work has centered around community building and grassroots social change. Because I believe in the more beautiful world my heart knows is possible, I have been a circle keeper and teacher in community settings, nonprofit organizations, jails, prisons and university classrooms. I know what is possible when we show up together, for one another and the more than human world. I believe in magic and know that we need it to be able to face the inevitable human suffering in life. We also need regular engagement with beauty, a solid support system, a sense of humor and hearts full of courage. Psychotherapeutic work with me is about gathering and growing these essential ingredients. I help people grow skills and capacities to weather life's challenges, learn through difficulty and embody resiliency. I provide a supportive atmosphere where you can feel free to listen within yourself without any pressure or judgment. I will help you to welcome whatever comes and support you as you discover steps of change you want to take in your life, opening to more and more of your authentic soul self.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our initial session, I will have you share a bit about what brought you to therapy, what it would look like if you were living a life you love. We will co-create a plan to get from where you are now to the life you want and outline the knowledge, skills and abilities you'll need to aquire to get there.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Opportunities to engage in transformational community include: an ecotherapy group where we engage in nature-based healing, a seasonal women's sacred space full of presence, embodiment, feminine ritual and sisterhood and a clinical supervision group- a fun, supportive crew of helping professionals that meet to deepen their capacities as healing artists. I am available for individual or group therapy and clinical supervision. We can meet in person at Terre Madre Retreat or virtually via zoom. Reach out with any questions!

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I support clients in developing psychological flexibility through developing present-moment awareness, acceptance, cognitive defusion, and identification with the observing self. Together, we identify what is most important to you in your life and work on concrete ways to show up in service of what really matters.

Somatic

I am a certified Focusing-Oriented Therapist. Using this body-informed approach, I facilitate contact with implicit, somatic knowing about what is needed to move forward in life with a sense of wholeness, grounded presence, and liberation.

Polyvagal Therapy

Polyvagal work helps us understand the nervous system's role in living an engaged, calm, and regulated life. We will use practical tools to help you effectively cope with life's stressors.
