First session
Your first session will be about building a connection and understanding your needs, including an introduction, a review of confidentiality, and a discussion of your goals for treatment plan. You can expect to provide some background information, and discuss your expectations for the process.
Strengths
My primary focus is on treating adult clients ages 18 to 65 with mood disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, substance addiction, and chronic mental disease through psychiatric examination, medication management, and brief psychotherapeutic intervention. I believe in developing a customized plan of care that prioritizes client participation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based practice. My goal for my clients is for them to feel empowered to cure their illnesses by receiving supportive knowledge in a stigma-free environment.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve prospective clients who are seeking support with general mental health concerns, such as generalized anxiety, depression, low mood, PTSD, sleep disorder and are primarily looking for brief, skills-based support with medication management
Treatment methods
Supportive
During each session I implement the use of Supportive therapy which is an evidence-based, patient-centered approach focused on reducing symptoms, enhancing self-esteem, and improving coping mechanisms in the present
