I became a Therapist because I wanted to help individuals and couples who need healing from unresolved issues from their past. Unresolved emotional issues is a leading causes of stress and life dissatisfaction. Whether your issues are from childhood, relationships, or past mistakes these issues can cause poor decision making, health issues, dysfunctional relationships, health problems, and career stagnation. The purpose of my practice is to help my clients use grace to begin a journey of healing from these unresolved issues. Learn skills and wisdom that will improve decision making, relationships, and career. During our time in therapy, we will develop a plan to address these issues in a healthy manner and set boundaries to reduce stress and improve life satisfaction.
In our first session, you can expect for us to discuss the reason that you decided to start counseling. My first goal in counseling is to build rapport with my clients so that they feel comfortable with me as their Therapist. I will answer any questions you may have about my therapeutic process and what you will gain from your time in counseling. We will also begin an Initial Assessment where I will ask you questions about your history, so that I can have some background information about you which will help me gain some insight on how to best serve you as your Therapist. This assessment may take 1-3 sessions, depending on your comfort level with sharing your history with me.
