Do you feel you are everywhere and nowhere simultaneously? Are you struggling to figure out how to find balance or real happiness? Do you want to change your life but just don't know how? Hi, I am Crystal and I am here to help! But HOW can I help, you may be thinking? Well, I can provide you with a safe and non judgemental space in which you can re-focus on what is truly important to you by walking along side of you on your therapeutic journey of self-awareness. Together we will develop a treatment plan that will help us reach your desired outcomes. I have found that incorporating the arts into therapy is quite beneficial since sometimes words can not capture our emotions as intensely or as accurately as a song or piece of art can. I also love to use mindfulness and bibliotherapy with clients and have been amazed at the success of using all of these approaches. You have taken the first step towards your new life already by researching which led you here. Won't you take that next step and connect today so that we can begin your journey? Change is hard, but I will be here to support you every step of the way!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our very first session together, I want to hear YOUR story and why therapy now for you? I want to know what it is that you hope to accomplish with therapy. You and I will talk about your goals - what is important to you. I will ask you about your coping skills - what are they? Do you have any that work? Do you need more? The most important thing about your first session is that we determine goodness of fit. Will you and I be a good fit to take this journey together to reach your goals? I will do all I can to ensure that we are. My goal is to help you reach YOURS!

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

As stated earlier, I love incorporating the arts into therapy. Primarily, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, CBT, highly effective interventions. I also utilize some Feminist Therapy interventions for empowerment purposes with my clients. I thoroughly enjoy empowering my clients by helping them build their self confidence and by helping them extinguish people pleasing behaviors by stepping into their true authentic selves. As far as homework assignments go, one of my most used assignments is to have my clients send me two songs that are resonating with them right now and then we discuss them in detail in the following session. This assignment is one that many clients have told me they enjoy tremendously.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Much of my clinician experience has been with trauma, life transitions regarding identity, LGBTQ, and self-esteem including body positivity, anxiety, depression, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in adult female clients. I have also had a large portion of long-term male clients compared to other clinicians in my network which has given me a depth of experience in that realm. I feel that, as counselors, we are tasked with meeting our clients where they are and helping them to grow into who they wish to become. My clients have always told me that they felt at ease with me right away and never felt judged in any way. It is something that I hold dear to my heart!
