Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll get to know one another and I'll gain a clearer understanding of what issues are most important to you. We will use this opportunity to create tailored treatment goals, which can be refined later on.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength lies in empowering individuals to reconnect with the inner strength they already possess. I help them uncover the obstacles preventing their growth, gain meaningful clarity, and achieve emotional freedom from the weight of unresolved grief, pain, and trauma. Drawing on a variety of creative and somatic approaches to wellness, I focus on the whole person and their environment, guiding them to cultivate self-compassion and embrace a holistic path toward healing and growth

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I typically work with individuals who are ready to take an active role in their personal growth by implementing practical strategies between sessions. My ideal clients are motivated to create meaningful change, yet may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or anxious as they navigate life’s challenges. They seek a compassionate, goal-oriented partnership to help them regain clarity, confidence, and a sense of balance.

My treatment methods

Compassion Focused

Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) is a therapeutic approach designed to help individuals who struggle with self-criticism, shame, or emotional difficulties by fostering self-compassion and compassion for others. Here's how you might integrate it into your practice: Understanding the Client's Emotional Systems: CFT emphasizes the balance between three emotional regulation systems: the threat system (fight, flight, freeze), the drive system (achievement and motivation), and the soothing system (calm and contentment). Helping clients recognize and understand these systems can be a foundational step. Compassionate Mind Training (CMT): This involves exercises like guided imagery, mindfulness, and self-compassion practices. These techniques aim to help clients develop a compassionate inner voice and reduce self-criticism. Addressing Fears of Compassion: Some clients may resist compassion due to fears or blocks. Exploring these fears and gradually introducing compassionate practices can help them overcome resistance. Using Psychoeducation: Educate clients about the evolutionary basis of compassion and how it can help regulate emotions and promote well-being. Incorporating Visualization and Role-Playing: Techniques like imagining a compassionate figure or practicing compassionate responses in challenging scenarios can be powerful tools. Tailoring to Specific Needs: CFT can be adapted for various issues, such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, or trauma. Tailor the approach to the unique needs of each client.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my practice, I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and understand the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work to challenge negative thought patterns and develop practical strategies for managing challenges more effectively. My goal is to empower clients with tools and insights that promote positive change and emotional well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

In my practice, I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients in building skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. DBT focuses on finding a balance between acceptance and change, empowering clients to better manage intense emotions and navigate life's challenges. Together, we work on developing practical strategies to enhance well-being and improve relationships
