I’m Stacie Holmes, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a background in mental health counseling and supporting children, adolescents, and adults. My practice is centered on creating a safe, welcoming, and judgment-free environment where clients can feel comfortable sharing their experiences and working toward meaningful change. I believe counseling is a collaborative process, and my goal is to help each client develop the confidence, coping skills, and strategies they need to navigate life’s challenges and reach their personal goals.
During your first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We will spend time getting to know you, discussing what brought you to counseling, learning about your concerns and goals, and talking about what you hope to gain from therapy. We will also review confidentiality, expectations for counseling, and how we can work together to create a plan that feels right for you. You do not have to have everything figured out before coming to your first session—this is a space where we can take things one step at a time.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with my clients. I bring compassion, patience, active listening, and a nonjudgmental approach to every session. I believe every person has strengths, even during difficult seasons, and I work collaboratively with clients to recognize those strengths and use them to create positive change. I meet clients where they are. I do not believe counseling should be a one-size-fits-all experience. I take the time to understand each client's unique experiences, needs, personality, and goals while providing practical tools and encouragement along the way. My goal is for clients to leave sessions feeling supported, empowered, and confident that change is possible.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to take steps toward understanding themselves, overcoming challenges, and creating positive change in their life. I enjoy working with clients who may be experiencing stress, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, or difficulties managing emotions and everyday responsibilities. At the same time, I believe you do not have to be completely “ready” or have everything figured out before starting counseling. My practice is a welcoming space for anyone who needs support, guidance, and someone to walk alongside them. I meet each client where they are and work collaboratively to help them recognize their strengths, develop healthy coping skills, and move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life.
With CBT, I help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns and understand how their thoughts can influence their emotions and behaviors. Together, we work on challenging negative or unrealistic thinking, developing healthier perspectives, and practicing coping strategies that can be applied to everyday situations.
With Solution-Focused Therapy, I focus on a client's strengths, resources, and possibilities rather than focusing only on the problems they are experiencing. We explore what is already working, identify the changes the client would like to make, and develop realistic, achievable steps toward their goals. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to provide support, guidance, and tools to help them recognize their strengths and move forward.
