About me

Hi, I’m Dawn — a psychotherapist dedicated to helping clients heal, grow, and create lives that feel aligned and fulfilling. With over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through life transitions, stress, and relationship challenges, I bring a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to every session. I blend evidence-based practices with mindfulness and mind-body awareness to help you reconnect with your strengths and move toward meaningful change. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. Together, we’ll work at your pace to rediscover balance, confidence, and a sense of peace in your daily life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and talk about what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your background, current concerns, and what you hope to achieve, so I can get a full picture of your needs. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of how I work. Together, we’ll begin identifying goals and laying the foundation for a therapy plan that feels supportive, comfortable, and tailored to you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are in creating a safe, compassionate space where you feel truly seen and understood. I use a flexible, client-centered approach, blending evidence-based techniques with mindfulness and mind-body awareness to meet your unique needs. What stands out about my work is helping clients connect with their strengths, gain clarity, and make changes that feel meaningful and lasting. Over time, many clients notice greater confidence, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of peace in their daily lives.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I’m best positioned to serve women who are navigating emotional pain, relationship challenges, or periods of transition that have left them feeling anxious, unseen, or uncertain about their next steps. My clients are often high-functioning and caring toward others but struggle to extend the same compassion to themselves. In therapy, they’re looking to heal old wounds, manage stress, and strengthen their sense of self-worth and boundaries. Together, we work toward helping them feel more emotionally balanced, empowered, and at peace in their daily lives.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

My approach is eclectic, meaning I tailor each session to meet your unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all method. Over the years, I’ve learned that real growth happens when therapy feels personal, flexible, and responsive to where you are in the moment. I draw from several evidence-based approaches—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, psychodynamic, and solution-focused techniques—to support your healing and self-discovery. Together, we’ll find what works best for you so you can feel more balanced, empowered, and connected to yourself and others.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With over 28 years of experience, I’ve seen how Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can truly transform the way people relate to their thoughts and emotions. If you often find yourself caught in worry, self-criticism, or old patterns that feel hard to change, we’ll work together to understand what’s driving them. Using CBT, you’ll learn simple, effective tools to shift your thinking, calm your mind, and feel more at peace in your daily life.

Mind-body approach

I take a mind-body approach to therapy, recognizing that our thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences are deeply connected. When we experience stress, trauma, or emotional pain, it often shows up in our bodies—through tension, fatigue, or other symptoms. In our work together, we’ll explore how your body holds and expresses emotion, and use techniques like mindfulness, breathwork, grounding, and self-compassion to help you reconnect with yourself. This integrative process supports healing from the inside out, helping you feel calmer, more centered, and in tune with your inner wisdom.
