(she/her)
With over 13 years of experience as a therapist, I am deeply committed to creating a safe, welcoming space where individuals and their families feel truly supported and heard. My approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and respect for each person's unique story. I have worked with youth, adolescents, and young adults for the majority of my career and believe I can help you or your child navigate challenges, build resilience, and understand oneself better. I believe in honoring each individual, fostering self-awareness, and empowering clients to discover their strengths as they move toward healing and personal growth. Take a moment to acknowledge you've taken the first step towards bettering your mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time!
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other in a safe, welcoming space. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, possibly go over your answers from the intake form, explore your goals, and begin to build a connection rooted in trust and understanding. My role is to listen, support, and help you begin to feel more at ease as we lay the foundation for our work together.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build rapport and a trusting relationship with youth and young adults. I understand that without that, a client is unable to be fully truthful about their feelings and emotions. I hold a certification in Sport Social Work and as a former athlete, understand the complexities that come with high-level athletics and the pressures that come with it.
I specialize in working with youth, adolescents, young adults, and athletes. I have dedicated the majority of my career to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges during some of their most formative years. Whether you’re seeking support for anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity development, or athletic performance-related stressors, my goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, build resilience, and grow.
Although I believe that some treatment methods or modalities can change with the needs of each client, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been in the forefront of my practice. I use CBT to support clients in identifying unhelpful thought patterns and replacing them with healthier, more constructive ways of thinking. Together, we work on building coping strategies, increasing emotional awareness, and fostering positive behavioral changes. Whether clients are dealing with anxiety, depression, or life transitions, CBT provides a structured yet flexible framework that empowers them to take an active role in their healing and personal growth.
In my therapy practice, I incorporate a humanistic approach that emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I believe each person has an innate capacity for growth and self-healing when provided with a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Through active listening and a collaborative relationship, I help clients explore their thoughts, feelings, and values so they can gain deeper self-awareness and move toward greater fulfillment and personal meaning. This client-centered framework allows me to meet individuals where they are, empowering them to take ownership of their healing journey.
