I have provided individual, group, couples and family therapy in both school settings as well as private practice settings for close to 25 years . I utilize behavioral management tools, cognitive behavioral therapy, and creative therapies to encourage development of self, learn how to celebrate strengths and weaknesses and help clients feel accountable and more importantly, recognize they have the ability to grow. I also have a strong background in parent coaching, fertility counseling with particular focus on single moms by choice and support and aiding clients in working through life transitions.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

First sessions focus is on identifying goals and building rapport. I know it takes great courage to seek help, and it is important the client has the opportunity to not only articulate what they hope to achieve in therapy but also share what may not have worked with previous therapists. If time permits, I also love to introduce Cognitive Behavioral Therapy so the client has an idea of what methodology they will be learning. I want my clients to ultimately feel a sense of hope when the first session is over.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I take great pride in my ability to teach strategies in a way that is relatable and does not feel overwhelming. I also believe that humor can be powerful and humanizes me as a therapist, which I think is incredibly important in a therapeutic relationship.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve clients who are struggling to get "out from under". I work with clients who identify feeling stuck and cannot move forward and help them understand how much their origin story and core beliefs ultimately influence productive feelings that drive movement. I pull from this theory whether I am providing parent coaching with parents who are navigating their roles with younger children and/or adult children as well as when I work with women coping with fertility issues. I believe in the importance of authenticity when practicing and feel strongly that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is greatly effective in all aspects ultimately getting out from under and moving forward.
