At Aguiar's Counseling Services, we believe in serving others through compassionate, effective care. Therapy is a collaborative journey built on trust, empathy, and understanding that helps you move toward healing and growth. Life can be overwhelming at times, whether you're facing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, or major life transitions. You don’t have to navigate it alone. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful change. I specialize in working with individuals and couples to navigate emotional stress, trauma, and personal growth.
Your first session is all about getting to know you and your goals. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and any challenges you're currently facing. I’ll also ask some questions about your history, lifestyle, and support system to help build a clearer picture of how I can best support you. This session is also a chance for you to ask me any questions you have about the therapy process. We'll go over things like confidentiality, scheduling, and what our future work together might look like. There’s no pressure to dive too deep right away—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. The most important thing is that you feel safe, heard, and respected.
I help individuals and couples manage anxiety, trauma, grief, substance use and relationship issues. My approach is personalized and supportive, using evidence-based methods like EMDR and practical tools like financial coaching to promote healing, growth, and real-life change.
I work best with individuals and couples who are ready to explore meaningful change, even if they’re not quite sure where to start. Many of my clients are navigating the challenges of anxiety, depression, or the impact of past trauma, and are seeking a space to feel understood, supported, and empowered. I also work with couples who want to improve communication, rebuild trust, or navigate life transitions together. Whether you're feeling disconnected, stuck in unhealthy patterns, or simply want to deepen your relationship, therapy can be a safe space to work toward your goals as a team. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with empathy, honesty, and a practical, down-to-earth approach, I may be a good fit. I believe in working collaboratively, helping you build healthy coping tools, self-awareness, and confidence to move forward with greater clarity and resilience.
