LCSW, 27 years of experience
Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) providing therapy in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina and have over 27 years of experience helping individuals and couples navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in working with people who are coping with depression, anxiety, stress, grief, life transitions, and communication issues. My goal is to create a supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. Together, we’ll build the tools and confidence you need to live a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll start with some introductions and talk about what brought you to therapy. This helps me understand your goals and allows us to begin creating a personalized plan that fits your needs and priorities.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with both young adults and older adults in a variety of settings. These experiences have taught me the importance of compassion, flexibility, and genuine connection. I focus on building a strong therapeutic partnership where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions while working toward meaningful change.
I enjoy working with people who are ready to make positive changes and open to learning new ways to cope and grow. My clients are often motivated to understand themselves better and improve their relationships, manage stress, or adjust to major life transitions. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with warmth, honesty, and encouragement, I’d be honored to work with you on your journey toward becoming your best self.
I have been using cognitive behavioral therapy for over 15 years. I use it to assist clients with identifying thought patterns that may cause distress and developing ways to change them. I also use this treatment modality to help clients understand how thoughts impact feelings and actions, which allows them to develop coping skills to manage distressful situations.
I have utilized this treatment modality for over 20 years to assist clients with developing solutions to managing stressful situations. This modality assists with situations that solve acute, brief, distressful situations.
I have utilized grief therapy techniques for over 15 years. I work with clients to deal with the loss of a loved one and manage the emotions that come with the process of managing emotions after a loss.
