I believe that all people deserve to live healthy, meaningful lives and the support from therapy can help align that. Helping people to feel empowered and understood while supporting personal growth is such a rewarding part of my career. I have been supporting individuals, couples, and families for over 20 years. I strive to always provide a caring, empathetic, and inclusive environment for everyone. I believe in collaboration and client centered care while creating an open environment for exploration and personal growth.
Taking the step to start therapy is incredibly brave and starting can feel uncomfortable and stressful for many people. During our first session we will begin to get to know each other through questions/answer and casual conversation. This information will include basic history and a discussion of what brings you to therapy. This is a good time to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have.
I will take the approach of safe space holding the majority of the time the sessions will run like a discussion that is person centered. Occasionally it may become necessary to challenge and encourage people in their thinking patterns and behavior choices to help create alignment with their personal goals.
Clients who are committed to the therapy process and open to new ideas, skills, and strategies that can be helpful in the healing journey. Clients who have an interest in learning about their thinking patterns and behavior choices that impact mental health and life satisfaction. Clients who want to actively participate in the hard conversations and work toward better coping skills.
