Nicole Memoli
I believe that seeking therapy is one of the most courageous things a person can do. It takes strength to acknowledge that something isn't working and to ask for support in making a change. My approach to therapy is straightforward: I'm here to listen, understand, and work alongside you as you navigate whatever challenges you're facing. Whether you're dealing with anxiety that's affecting your daily life, feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or going through a major life transition, my goal is to help you develop the tools and insights you need to move forward.
First session
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to begin sharing what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about what you’re currently experiencing, what you hope to work on, and what you would like to get out of therapy. I’ll also ask questions to better understand your background and what may be contributing to the challenges you’re facing. Most importantly, there is no pressure to have everything figured out or to know exactly where to begin. We can take it at your pace. My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe being yourself. Together, we’ll begin identifying areas of focus and develop a therapeutic approach that feels meaningful and manageable for you.
Strengths
I practice from a warm, person-centered approach that honors your unique experiences and perspectives. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we'll work together to identify what's bringing you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, and the strategies that will work best for you. My clinical training includes specialized work in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care. I'm committed to ongoing professional development and regularly participate in training and consultation to ensure I'm providing the most effective, evidence-based care possible.
Ideal clients
My ideal client is someone who is looking to better understand themselves and make meaningful changes in their life. I work well with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, self-esteem, life transitions, or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life. You don’t have to have everything figured out or even know exactly what you need from therapy. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply want to understand yourself better, I’m here to meet you where you are. I value creating a collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental relationship where we can work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
