You are navigating a massive shift in your life, but instead of feeling grounded, you feel completely disconnected from yourself. Whether you are drowning in the overwhelming anxiety of new motherhood, or trying to pick up the pieces after finally walking away from a narcissistic

relationship, you are likely wondering: Who am I now, and can I really do this? These are places I have traveled, let's discuss how I can guide you.

First session

I hope clients leave our sessions feeling seen, understood, and a little more connected to themselves than when they walked in. More than anything, I want them to experience those moments of realization when something finally clicks, when they begin to understand themselves in a way they hadn't before and recognize the possibility of becoming a new version of themselves. I often think of personal growth as both a crochet project and a story. Sometimes, we have to unravel a few stitches to create something stronger, more intentional, and better suited to who we are becoming. Other times, we have to revisit the stories we've been telling ourselves, separate our truths from the narratives others have placed on us, and give ourselves permission to write a different chapter. I don't want clients to leave feeling that they need to become someone else to be worthy of growth. I want them to recognize that they can honor who they've been while making room for who they're becoming. My hope is that they leave with greater self-understanding, a little more compassion for themselves, and the confidence to keep creating a life that feels authentic to them.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths as a counselor is curiosity. I strive to look beyond symptoms and understand the person behind them. I believe behavior often communicates something that words cannot, and I enjoy exploring the experiences, beliefs, and emotions that shape how we navigate the world. Growing up, I was sometimes described as the sweetest person, while at other times I was perceived as rude or unapproachable. What others couldn't always see was that what looked like anger was often anxiety, fear, or feeling incapable. I was a timid child who felt she had to grow up quickly and figure out the world around her. Over time, I learned the importance of understanding myself rather than simply reacting to what I felt. That journey sparked my interest in studying human behavior, practicing self-reflection, and becoming more intentional in how I communicate. It also shaped my belief that there is often more beneath the surface than we initially recognize. I also bring humor into the therapeutic space. I genuinely find comfort in comedy and believe laughter can coexist with difficult experiences. Have you ever noticed how comedians can make us laugh about some of life's hardest realities? Sometimes humor gives us a way to approach what feels too heavy to carry alone. Lastly, I bring empathy. My dad often reminded me that sometimes people simply need someone willing to listen. I understand how difficult it can be to hold everything inside, and I believe having a space where you feel heard without judgment can be transformative. Ultimately, I hope to create a space where curiosity replaces assumptions, humor makes room for relief, and empathy reminds people they don't have to navigate everything alone.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who is ready to get curious about themselves, even if they aren't quite sure where to begin. I enjoy working with individuals who feel stuck in familiar patterns, struggle to make sense of their emotions, or find themselves repeating cycles they don't fully understand. This may include individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, or the impact of past experiences. I especially enjoy working with people who have spent much of their lives feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or as though they have to hold everything together. Whether you tend to overthink, shut down, become reactive, people-please, or struggle to communicate what you really need, I want to help you explore what may be happening beneath the surface. My approach is collaborative, curious, and compassionate. I don't expect you to have everything figured out before entering the room. Together, we can explore the stories, beliefs, and experiences that have shaped you while building healthier ways to respond to life's challenges. I welcome humor, honesty, difficult conversations, and the willingness to challenge old ways of thinking. You don't have to come to therapy knowing exactly what needs to change. Sometimes, the first step is simply becoming curious about why things are the way they are.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients explore how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, examine the beliefs that may be keeping them stuck, and develop healthier ways of interpreting and responding to life's challenges. I encourage clients to become curious about their internal dialogue, challenge assumptions, and recognize when their thoughts are being shaped by fear, past experiences, or self-doubt. Through practical strategies and intentional reflection, clients learn that while they may not always control what happens around them, they can develop greater awareness and choice in how they respond.
