My aim is to help clients navigate major life transitions, anxiety, depression, and overwhelming stress — especially when life feels uncertain, heavy, or out of control. Whether you’re dealing with a big change, emotional burnout, or financial pressure, therapy with me is a place to slow down, get grounded, and start making sense of what you’re going through. I take a warm, supportive, but direct approach to therapy. I won’t just nod and listen, I’ll help you notice patterns, challenge what’s keeping you stuck, and build practical tools so you can feel more steady, confident, and in control of your life. My background is a clinical social worker working full time in medical social work so I witness people's life change every day in major ways. This has lead me to prioritize self care and build intentional ways to help myself and others manage stress. My top self-care activities include traveling, spending quality with family and friends, seeking out thrilling adventures, discovering new RNB music, and walking. I'm hopeful that we can identify some coping skills that work for you.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brought you to therapy, and clarifying what you want help with. We’ll also explore your values/what truly matters to you so we can set goals that actually feel meaningful. This will also give us both an opportunity to see if it feels like a good fit. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling understood, supported, and more equipped to handle whatever you’re facing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to see the full picture of what someone is going through, not just their symptoms. With a background in medical and behavioral health social work, I understand how emotional stress, physical health, finances, relationships, and life circumstances all intersect. This allows me to approach therapy in a holistic, practical way that actually fits your real life. I’m also deeply grounded in connection. Growing up in a small country town taught me the importance of warmth, trust, and showing up for people which are all values I bring into every session. Clients often tell me they feel both genuinely cared for and gently guided, which creates a space where meaningful change can happen. I combine compassion with clarity, so you’ll feel supported while also being encouraged to move forward in ways that feel aligned and empowering.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with people who may be feeling drained by life, especially those going through periods of career changes, relationship shifts, financial stress, health issues, or recovering from difficult or traumatic experiences. Many of my clients are "high-functioning" on the outside but struggling internally with self-doubt, worry, or feeling “behind” in life. You don't have to be alone in the journey to feel more grounded, clear-headed, and emotionally stable, we’ll be a good fit. Therapy is a big step and I hope to walk through the process with you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In the past, I have used CBT with clients who are looking to change habits and behaviors. I like to use this model as a way to get clients out of the cycle of overthinking or with impulsive behavior and aim to get clients connected with triggers and patterns that are leading to uneasy feelings.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I have used this model with clients who may be experiencing grief or life transitions. This can be an impactful model for someone who may find it difficult to navigate large scale changes. I like to use this as a means to explore thoughts and feelings about changes, determine if their impact, and move to a place where the changes feel manageable through gaining appropriate coping skills.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Therapy is all about individual experiences. I use a person centered approach so that clients understand that their time in therapy is about them and identifying what restoration means for them.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

A Solution Focused therapy approach can be a magnificent way to help clients handle immediate problems that may initially bring them to treatment or that happen over the course of established therapy. Through this approach, together we can identify the issue and work together to make a plan so that one problem doesn't feel insurmountable and add to stress.
