Hey! My name is Zach Peterson, and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Colorado and Virginia. I earned my master's degree from the University of Denver and have been practicing for six years. I am currently pursuing my doctorate in Social Work. In my practice, I integrate the DEIPAR framework (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Power analysis and Anti- Racism ) into my therapy sessions to ensure every client feels heard and valued. Over the years, I specialized in anxiety, depression, PTSD, impulsive behaviors, family issues, OCD, and teens.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with young professionals for the past six years, I've developed promoting a brave and safe space environment that allows you to be yourself. It takes bravery to be in therapy and it takes bravery to be yourself that will allow your voice to be heard. This life is beyond hard and if I could use other words to express how hard life is- I would. Speaking from the heart, suffering in silence is a disaster waiting to happen and getting help could save your life.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with young professionals, adolescents, and middle age adults who are eager to improve and become the best version of themselves.
