Clients can expect an open and communicative first meeting. We will discuss a client's goals and learn more about each other to make sure the client is comfortable with me and with the therapy. This happens through asking questions about life, their symptoms, treatments they may have already tried, and what has gotten in their way in the past. I use empathy and compassion in a non-judgmental approach.
My goal is to be a guide for clients. Therapy is all about client's needs. By being open and empathetic, I can help create a plan that is unique to each person's needs. I have great success with helping client's get relief from symptoms and situations. This is due to using approaches that are client centered.
I work with a multitude of modalities to create unique client based treatment. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Thearpy, Strength-Based Therapy, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy.
Working with clients from a lens of understanding their story. This is a humanistic approach where the client guides therapy.
Solution Focused Brief Therapy is a way to work through some issues in less time. SFBT provides new ways of thinking, helps to question why we think as we do, and helps to change the pattern of thinking.
Exposure response therapy can be used for OCD, and anxiety. It helps clients learn to go towards their fears in a more focused way with steps and reframing of thoughts and behaviors. I also use mindfulness as part of this treatment.
Using an integrative approach with mindfulness as a court component, Claire will learn more about themselves and their symptoms Through the lens of being very present in a moment, this helps a client learn to let go of anxiousness, worry, and negativity mindfulness can be used with adults and children.
