I work with individuals, couples, and families seeking help for a multitude of reasons some including Family of origin, Understanding patterns, pre-marital and marital counseling, Life transitions, Relationship concerns, Identity, Communication concerns, Uncoupling, Boundaries and family dynamics, Anxiety, Depression, Self-esteem, and parenting. I use a variety of theoretical approaches, which will help you identify triggers, learn new coping skills, and identify specific and attainable goals. I will provide a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
It is not uncommon to find ourselves at some point in our lives feeling “stuck” often leaving us scared, paralyzed, sad, confused, angry, and fed up. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives and I aid in uncovering their inherent goodness and strengths. Through an open and affirming, culturally competent, and trauma-informed environment, I help clients feel “unstuck” to go then and live the lives they want to live. I am honored and privileged to walk alongside various clients and hear their stories.
My approach to therapy is to treat the whole person, consider their strengths as the pillar of care, and always be in the passenger seat while the client is in the driver's seat. My goal is to help every client reach their own full potential, in a relaxed setting, that focuses on each person's unique strengths and protective factors.
My role will never be to tell you what to do; rather we will work together to find the best solution for you. I accept clients from all backgrounds, identities, and cultures. I have a warm welcome for those of the LGBTQ+ community along with open relationship structures/ polyamory. Areas of experience include anxiety, depression, OCD, and Addiction. Clients will be successful when they come with an open mind, and a willingness to be vulnerable, while also being provided their own pace and comfort.
