Let’s face it—life can be challenging, and it often throws us curveballs we never saw coming. Hi, I’m Jennifer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Whether you’re navigating the painful journey of infertility, grieving the loss of a pregnancy, working to strengthen or repair your relationship with your significant other, or trying to balance your identity as a new parent, I’m here to help.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Whether this is your first time participating in therapy or your sixth, I approach the initial session with each client in the same thoughtful and comprehensive manner. During our first meeting, I will ask a series of questions to gather information about your physical health, mental health history, and family medical and mental health background. Additionally, I will inquire about your relationships, work life, and family dynamics. The goal of these questions is to gain a well-rounded understanding of what may be contributing to the challenges you're seeking therapy for, allowing us to develop a tailored approach to your treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a seasoned clinician, I have come to understand that individuals seeking therapy are not only looking for support, resources, and tools to cope with their struggles in order to create meaningful change, but they also need to feel heard, understood, and seen. Both aspects are essential for therapy to be truly effective. I am deeply committed to ensuring that each client experiences both support and empathy in our work together, and I continuously strive to provide an environment where these elements coexist to foster healing and growth.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

As a seasoned therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with young adults, individuals, and couples in both community mental health and perinatal mental health settings. I’ve created a safe space for clients to process and heal from traumatic experiences while learning to manage and cope with anxiety, depression, and other challenges.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Whether we are conscious of it or not, our thoughts, feelings, and actions are deeply interconnected. For over six years, I have been helping individuals identify the origins of their thoughts and understand how these thoughts influence their emotions and behaviors. Through this process, I guide clients in breaking unhealthy cycles and replacing them with healthier, more adaptive patterns. This approach empowers individuals to make lasting changes and improve their overall well-being.
