You don’t have to face what you're dealing with alone. With compassion and evidence-based care, I help you move from surviving to thriving by learning to trust yourself again, using communication skills, identifying challenges and overcoming them, and working through what is going on to help you manage your thoughts, feelings, and the people around you. You don’t have to keep carrying it all by yourself. You deserve to be seen, supported, and to overcome challenges at your own pace. In our work together, you’ll find a safe and nonjudgmental space where your goals matter, and where you can begin to trust the calm, confident version of yourself that’s been there all along. Supporting You in Mental Health My work focuses on helping you identify the challenges you're facing right now and what is affecting your mental health. We focus on the people around you (your environment), what your brain is saying (thoughts), how you are feeling (feelings) and how you express it (communication and behavior). If you've been struggling day-to-day or even occasionally and want to overcome the challenges you're facing right now, you're in the right place. Family-Based Care Experience I’m a licensed counselor in Georgia, with experience working with kids, adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults. My approach is eclectic, blending person-centered counseling with other modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, Response and Exposure, Adlerian, Child-Centered, Expressive Art, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, and more to help you with what you need to grow and learn how to work with your mental health challenges, what your brain needs to heal, and how to thrive. This diverse toolkit allows me to adapt to your specific needs, helping you tackle issues like stress, anxiety, family conflicts, trauma, and parenting challenges.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In your first session with me, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment where your goals are heard and valued. As a licensed counselor in Georgia with a diverse background in person-centered counseling, I aim to create a space that feels safe and supportive for you. We'll start by discussing what brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. This conversation helps lay the groundwork for our work together. You'll have the opportunity to share your experiences, thoughts, and feelings at your own pace, and I'll listen attentively to understand your perspective and needs.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I draw from several evidence-based and expressive approaches to meet each woman exactly where she is in her healing journey. Every session is guided by compassion, collaboration, and respect for your pace and readiness. Brainspotting Through Brainspotting, we access and release trauma that’s stored in the body. This gentle, body-based technique helps regulate the nervous system and calm emotional overwhelm. You don’t have to relive the trauma—your brain naturally processes what’s ready to heal as we hold safe space together. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) With CBT, we identify and challenge the negative thought patterns that trauma often creates—like guilt, shame, or fear of being unworthy. Together, we replace them with more compassionate and balanced ways of thinking. These new perspectives strengthen confidence and promote emotional stability. Internal Family Systems (IFS) Many women discover that parts of themselves—like the caretaker, the protector, or the inner critic—developed to survive difficult experiences. Using IFS, we gently get to know these parts, understand their purpose, and invite healing from your authentic Self. This process restores inner harmony and self-acceptance. Sandtray and Graphic Narrative Sometimes words aren’t enough. In those moments, expressive tools like sandtray and graphic narrative allow you to see your story and emotions from a new perspective. By creating scenes or drawings that represent feelings, memories, or inner parts, you can process trauma safely and reclaim your story with strength and creativity. Additionally, my empathetic and compassionate approach fosters a supportive environment that encourages clients to open up and engage deeply with their therapeutic journey. My intuition and experience enable me to connect with clients on a meaningful level, helping them to navigate their emotions and relationships more effectively. My commitment to treating each person with respect and understanding, combined with my diverse toolkit of therapeutic techniques, empowers clients to take courageous steps towards a more fulfilling and happier life. I am dedicated to supporting each individual's journey of growth and transformation. Empowerment Through Expression Each of these approaches helps you reconnect with your body’s wisdom, your emotional truth, and your personal resilience. Whether you are learning to set boundaries, rebuild self-esteem, or release long-held grief, our sessions provide space to: Feel heard and understood without judgment Transform painful memories into insight and empowerment Reconnect with joy, creativity, and a renewed sense of purpose
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am committed to treating each client with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, ensuring that every treatment plan and conversation is personalized to meet your unique needs. My goal is to help you navigate the complexities of your emotions and relationships, empowering you to make meaningful changes and pursue a more fulfilling and happier life. If you are someone who values a supportive and empathetic therapeutic relationship and is ready to engage in deep personal exploration and growth, you may find my approach especially beneficial. I am here to support and empower you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery, helping you to overcome challenges and achieve your personal goals. What They’re Looking For My ideal clients are seeking more than symptom relief—they want transformation. They’re ready to explore not just their thoughts, but also their emotions, body, and creativity. They’re open to trying new ways of healing—whether through Brainspotting, Sandtray, Graphic Narrative, or Internal Family Systems (IFS)—and are drawn to therapy that honors both science and soul. They want to: Feel safe in their own skin Reclaim their voice and boundaries Break cycles of self-blame or over-responsibility Heal inner wounds that keep them repeating old patterns Build healthy, grounded connections with others How I Help I help you overcome your mental health challenges, learn emotional regulation, and discover your natural skills, strengths, and communication with yourself and others. Using approaches like CBT to reframe limiting beliefs, IFS to understand inner parts, Brainspotting to release trauma stored in the body, and Sandtray and art-based narrative work to express what words can’t capture, we create a healing process that is both gentle and deeply effective. Together, we move from survival to self-connection, transforming pain into purpose, and fear into strength. Please Note: If your child is between ages 6 - 12, parents are also invited to sessions for 15 minutes if there is a current issue they would like to work with their child on in session. Depending on the situation, I may need to meet with the parent separately from the child for a few sessions to work on collaborative problem solving communication skills.
Brainspotting
During Brainspotting sessions, I help clients locate and focus on specific eye positions, or brainspots, that connect to the emotional and physical experiences of trauma. By gently holding attention on these points while remaining attuned to the body’s sensations, clients can release what has been held beneath conscious awareness. This process allows the nervous system to reset, promoting regulation, relief, and a sense of calm.
Narrative
I often invite clients to express what surfaced through visual storytelling using Graphic Narrative Processing . This is where graphic narrative—a blend of drawing, imagery, and story panels—becomes a transformative tool. It allows clients to externalize their experience, turning abstract sensations or flashbacks into tangible, meaningful visuals. Sandtray adds a tactile, three-dimensional dimension to narrative work. Clients use miniature figures, objects, and the sensory experience of sand to create scenes that represent internal worlds, memories, or emotions. Sandtray therapy deepens this creative process by allowing clients to externalize their inner world in three dimensions. Using miniature figures and symbols in a tray of sand, clients create scenes that represent memories, emotions, relationships, or dreams.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS provides the foundation that connects all of these expressive approaches. This model views the mind as made up of many “parts,” each carrying its own emotions, beliefs, and roles. Some parts protect us, some hold pain, and others guide us toward healing. In session, I help clients gently turn inward to get to know these parts with curiosity and compassion. Together, we explore: Protective parts that keep the person safe or avoid vulnerability. Exiled parts that carry pain, shame, or trauma memories. The Self, the calm and compassionate inner presence that can lead healing from within. When clients use Sandtray or Graphic Narrative in IFS sessions, these parts often emerge visually or symbolically. A protector might appear as a wall or shield in the sand, or as a dark figure in a drawing. By externalizing these parts, clients can dialogue with them, understand their intentions, and gradually invite them into harmony.
Compassion Focused
In our sessions, we'll work on developing a deeper sense of compassion for yourself and your experiences. This approach helps in softening self-criticism and building a supportive inner voice that can empower you during tough times. We’ll explore how being kinder to yourself can transform the way you handle life’s challenges and interact with those around you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my counseling sessions, I often integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is a structured, evidence-based approach that empowers individuals to understand how their thinking patterns shape how they feel and act. CBT works best when it’s collaborative and personalized. Together, we explore real-life situations and uncover the patterns that cause distress or reinforce negative beliefs. I guide clients to notice how their inner dialogue influences their emotions and behaviors—and then help them practice new, balanced ways of thinking.
