LCSW, 10 years of experience
Hi, I’m Newzaira—my name means “one who sees the good in others.” If you’re searching for deeper meaning, noticing big emotions from “small” triggers, or finding it hard to meet yourself and others with kindness, you’re not alone. I support people navigating anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and trauma—especially those who value spirituality in a broad, human sense. I believe in the religion of love and our shared interconnectedness through pain and experience. In our work, we’ll take a whole-self approach, honoring your spiritual, mental, and physical needs. I weave in mindfulness and contemplation to help you build a grounded, compassionate relationship with yourself. Therapy is work—but it’s not work you have to do alone. Together, we’ll hold space for both accountability and growth, so you can move beyond patterns that keep you stuck and step into a deeper sense of peace. In session, you can expect compassion, humility, gentle humor, and a commitment to walking alongside you. You deserve a safe place to be fully yourself while you heal. Let’s do this together.
In our first session, you can expect a welcoming space where we focus on getting to know you—your story, your needs, and what brought you to therapy. I’ll invite you to share at your own pace, and there’s no pressure to go deeper than you’re ready for. Together, we’ll start exploring your goals for therapy and talk through what feels most important to you right now. I’ll also share a bit about how I work, so you know what to expect from our time together. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer sense of how we can move forward on your healing journey.
What stands out about my approach is that I use an integrative style—blending EMDR, Brainspotting, EFT, CBT, and mindfulness—to support the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. I also offer out-of-pocket trauma intensives (3-hour sessions at $150/hour), which can often bring faster relief from trauma symptoms. Clients appreciate that I combine compassion with accountability, creating a safe space for authentic healing while doing the real work of therapy together.
I am best positioned to serve individuals who feel weighed down by anxiety, depression, grief, or trauma and are seeking not just relief from symptoms, but a deeper sense of meaning and peace in their lives. Many of the people I work with are highly reflective and want to better understand themselves, their emotions, and their patterns. They may be navigating life transitions, strained relationships, or past wounds that still feel present. I especially connect with those who are open to exploring healing through a whole-self lens—mind, body, and spirit—and who are willing to do the work of therapy with honesty and accountability. My role is to walk alongside you, offering compassion, perspective, and tools, while holding space for the growth and change you’re ready to step into.

I met Newzaira on another platform and decide to stay with her while transitioning to Grow because she took the time to build rapport with me, understands the issues I'm facing, is very honest and open with me about the process and specific techniques she utilizes, and I've experienced both gradual and immediate improvement on multiple fronts as we continue to work together.
In my experience, EMDR has been a powerful and effective approach for helping clients process trauma. What I value most about this method is how it allows people to reprocess painful memories in a way that feels contained and safe, so that the memories lose their overwhelming intensity. In my practice, I use EMDR to help clients move through stuck points where traditional talk therapy may not fully reach—especially when trauma is held not just in the mind but in the body. I guide clients through bilateral stimulation while we revisit and reprocess difficult experiences, which often leads to a shift in how the memory is stored and how it shows up in daily life. I’ve seen EMDR help clients reduce distressing symptoms, gain a greater sense of calm, and reconnect with their own inner strength. For me, it’s not just about reducing symptoms but about supporting clients in reclaiming their story in a way that feels empowering and healing.
Brainspotting is a gentle yet powerful therapy that helps your mind and body release what has been stuck from past experiences. By using specific eye positions, we can find the ‘spot’ connected to where trauma and emotions are held in the brain and body. From there, your system naturally begins to process and let go of the weight you’ve been carrying. In sessions, we go at your pace, allowing your body to guide the process. Many people notice that Brainspotting helps reduce anxiety, stress, and physical tension, while also creating space for more calm, clarity, and strength. It’s a way of unlocking your body’s natural ability to heal.
EFT, also known as Tapping, is a gentle technique that combines talking through what you’re feeling with tapping on specific acupressure points. This process helps calm the nervous system, lower stress, and release emotional intensity from past or present experiences. In sessions, we use Tapping to gently shift how your body holds onto stress or trauma. Many people find it brings a sense of relief, lightness, and calm—almost like resetting the emotional charge around a memory or feeling. It’s a simple but powerful way to help your body and mind feel more balanced.
I believe that no single therapeutic approach works for everyone. Each client’s history, needs, and goals are unique, which is why I use an integrative model. This allows me to draw from multiple evidence-based modalities—such as EMDR, Brainspotting, EFT, ART, Polyvagal, and others—to tailor treatment to each person. By weaving together different methods, I can meet clients where they are, adapt to their process, and provide the most effective path toward healing and growth.
Healing from trauma can feel lonely, but group therapy reminds you that you don’t have to do it alone. In our groups, you’ll be with others who truly understand, in a safe space where you can share, learn, and support each other. Together, we gently work through the effects of trauma using approaches that help both the mind and body. Many people find that being part of a group brings relief, connection, and a deep sense of strength as they heal.
