About me

have been working in the field of mental health for over 20 years, with experience in group home settings, private schools, crisis outreach, outpatient mental health, and inpatient psychiatric care. I have provided assessments for the Erie County and Domestic Violence Court System and conducted risk assessments in hospital emergency rooms to determine the need for acute psychiatric hospitalization. In my practice, I value the therapeutic relationship and take a strength-based approach to help clients achieve meaningful change. I support both individuals and couples in navigating emotional, psychological, and relational challenges, providing a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, conflict, and self-esteem. If you are ready to make a change, I am ready to help you reach your goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

n my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns that influence emotions and behaviors. Together, we explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, and develop practical strategies to challenge negative thinking and build healthier coping skills. CBT allows clients to gain insight, increase self-awareness, and make meaningful changes that support emotional well-being and personal growth.

Couples Counseling

When working with couples, I focus on improving communication, understanding individual needs, and fostering self-awareness within the relationship. I help partners identify patterns that create conflict and teach tools for expressing emotions and needs in healthy, constructive ways. Through this process, couples learn to listen with empathy, take responsibility for their own reactions, and build a stronger, more respectful connection.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

help individuals who have experienced trauma or PTSD by creating a safe and supportive environment where they can process their experiences at their own pace. Using trauma-informed approaches, I assist clients in understanding their triggers, building coping skills, and reconnecting with a sense of safety and control. Together, we work toward healing past wounds, reducing distressing symptoms, and restoring trust in themselves and others.
