Welcome! My name is Ari. I specialize in CBT-Exposure Response Prevention treatment for OCD and anxiety. Clients I work with frequently report life changing reductions in anxiety and a new way of coping with obsessions and compulsions that give them more freedom to live their life. Research shows individuals can experience 25 to 35% reductions in OCD and anxiety symptoms withing 6 to 12 weeks of ERP treatment with variations on outcome depending on the frequency of appointments. Only about 4% of individuals do not experience these outcomes. I find that ERP is helpful for the majority of people I work with.

My treatment methods

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)

I received my training in CBT, ERP, ACT and mindfulness based practices for over 3 years from NOCD to treat OCD, anxiety, panic and phobias. I have received mentorship by world renowned OCD specialist and attend regular trainings and consultation.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In treatment I emphasize the importance of accepting uncertainty and leaning into recognizing the core desire of control and certainty that drives Compulsive behavior. ACT is interwoven in my therapeutic approach.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Being able to see your fear without responding to it is crucial to all the brain to recognize anxiety is not inherently dangerous. I provide clients with exercise and skills to build their mindfulness practices of observing without responding.
