Hello and Welcome! I am an LCSW serving clients in Georgia. I received my Masters of Clinical Social Work from the University of Georgia and have been in the private practice setting for 10 years. I am non-judgmental and laid back with a good sense of humor, but also action oriented. I use a holistic approach to mental health and wellness since mind and body are intertwined.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing and where you'd like to go in our work together. Together we will create a plan based on your individual needs as a guide for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have worked with individuals of all ages and varying backgrounds to identify current problems and unhelpful patterns in order to replace them with healthy thoughts and behaviors. I am validating and compassionate and come with a toolbox of proven techniques to address any problems you are facing. I look forward to working together if we determine it's a good fit!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Are you struggling with anxiety, sadness, or lack of motivation? Feeling stagnant or stuck, not sure where you’re headed or what you want? Often times you can continue to manage these difficulties and make it through day to day, but they hold you back from living your best life. Now, imagine yourself feeling satisfied, inspired, purposeful, and confident! It can be life-changing to partner with a therapist who can give you support and new tools to guide you towards your best life. I believe everyone deserves to live their best life and it's possible with the right support. I love working with clients who are ready to make changes in their lives but not sure where to start.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I was trained in adherent DBT starting in 2014 and practiced until 2019. I now utilize DBT skills and teachings to help my clients who want to learn specific skills to change behaviors but don't require the full program.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT with clients to help identify and challenge negative thought and behavior patterns and guide them in developing healthier patterns.

Humanistic

I provide a non-judgmental empathetic environment for clients to explore their feelings, gain insight into their true selves, and develop their potential by focusing on strengths and choices.

Mind-body approach

Understanding that the mind and body are intertwined, I teach clients techniques of mindfulness, breathing techniques, and movement to improve emotional well-being.

Eclectic

Every client is unique, so we will approach therapy based on your individual needs, goals, and values that work best for you.
