In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Starting therapy is a significant step. I offer an initial consultation to discuss what brings you here, answer questions about my approach, and see whether working together feels right. If you are looking for a seasoned psychotherapist who offers depth, warmth, and an affirming space for mature adults, I invite you to reach out.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
With more than forty years of clinical experience, I offer psychotherapy for adults who want more than symptom relief—they want understanding, integration, and real transformation. My work is grounded in psychodynamic and relational approaches, that explore how early experiences, emotional patterns, and relationships shape who we are today. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, accomplished, and introspective. They may appear to be functioning well on the outside while privately carrying long-standing emotional pain, relationship difficulties, or a sense that something important is missing. Therapy provides a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of these experiences in a meaningful way.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Four decades of practice have taught me that healing is rarely linear and never one-size-fits-all. I bring patience, perspective, and a steady presence to the work—qualities that many mature clients find especially grounding. Clients often seek therapy with me during periods of transition or reflection, including: Life stage changes and aging Relationship struggles or loss Identity questions Long-standing anxiety or depression A desire for greater authenticity and emotional depth
Psychodynamic
Psychodynamic–relational therapy focuses on the inner world—feelings, memories, defenses, and unconscious patterns—as they emerge in present-day life and in the therapeutic relationship itself. Over time, this process helps uncover deeply rooted beliefs and emotional habits that no longer serve you. The therapeutic relationship is central to the work. Together, we pay attention to what unfolds between us with curiosity and respect, using those moments to foster insight, emotional growth, and greater freedom in relationships beyond therapy. This is not a quick-fix model. It is a thoughtful, collaborative process that supports enduring change and a deeper sense of self.
