Hey there! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida, bringing over two decades of experience to the table. I got my Masters and Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. My style? It's all about compassion, empathy, and using proven methods that fit your specific situation. I truly believe therapy can help build resilience and personal growth. I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey to feeling whole again.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial session, our focus will be on building rapport and getting to know each other better. This will include understanding your strengths and the challenges you may be facing. We will collaborate to develop tailored strategies and goals for our therapeutic journey together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In my work as a therapist, I've discovered that one of my strengths is tuning into and unraveling core beliefs. I've become pretty good at understanding how these beliefs drive our actions and feelings. My approach is all about gently helping clients see and question these beliefs, so they can take charge of their lives. I'm here to support their journey towards self-awareness, resilience, and growth, aiming to spark long-lasting transformation along the way.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is used to help clients identify their negative or unhelpful thought patterns. Together, we then work to challenge and reframe these thoughts, replacing them with more rational and constructive perspectives. By doing so, clients gain greater insight into their emotions and develop healthier coping mechanisms to manage life's challenges.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy is used to shift the focus from problems to solutions and strengths. Instead of dwelling on past issues or analyzing the root causes of problems, SFT encourages clients to envision their desired future and identify practical steps to achieve it. This approach fosters a sense of empowerment and optimism, as clients recognize their own capacity for change and problem-solving.
