(she/her)
Hi there! I'm a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Florida, Virginia, and New York. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, life transitions, existential issues, and relational uncertainties. I received my doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. I have been practicing in various therapeutic settings with individuals, couples, and families for the past six years.
In our first session, I'll introduce myself and answer any questions you might have about me or the therapeutic process. You can expect me to ask you some questions as well. For example, I might ask you about your past experiences with therapy and what motivated you to schedule a session now.
My greatest strength as a therapist is being present with you. I will continuously check in to ensure I understand your unique experience of the world so that my guidance and support are tailored specifically to your circumstances.
I take a person-centered approach, blending and adapting techniques from CBT, mindfulness, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed therapy to support each person's unique needs in exploring their lives and finding meaning. My clients range from individuals coming to therapy with specific concerns like managing anxiety or processing grief, to those who can't pinpoint one specific issue but know that they want to examine their life and inner world. In all cases, my aim is to provide a supportive space for adults, couples, and families to explore their lives and find meaning.
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use a blend of CBT and externalization from Narrative therapy to identify and reframe thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and challenging behaviors.
Mind-body approach
I use a bottom-up approach to focus on calming the body when working with clients who have experienced trauma or have been diagnosed with PTSD.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use this approach with all my clients to emphasize empathy, client autonomy, and each individual's unique perspective, journey, circumstances, and struggles.
