Hi! I'm Christina Fals (she/her/hers) a bilingual Hispanic American licensed social worker based in Washington D.C. I am available to serve clients in DC, and MD through online therapy sessions. Those who come to see me are generally older children, teenagers, (ages 8 to 17). I assist young adults working professionals in their 20s-40s who are going through life transitions. I have dedicated my past years of mental health experience assisting individuals of walks of life and ages through various issues such as mental health crisis, chronic illness, major life transitions, career change, substance abuse and gender identity.

I bring a wide range of tools such as a holistic approach to mental health and treatment methods tailored to your needs. I also provide evidence based resources such as worksheets and other media.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

My theoretical framework is client-centered and holistic, focused on the entire person, addressing problems, strengths, insights and person centered. I also employ therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Play therapy. I am also a trauma informed therapist and culturally sensitive therapists. I also use Eclectic intervention methods and techniques from different schools of thought to produce positive results and a tailored plan for a specific individual. I have dedicated my past 15 years of mental health experience assisting individuals adress mental health crisis, chronic illness, major life transitions, career change, substance abuse, gender identity and new mental health diagnosis. I have experience assisting individuals with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Chronic Health Conditions, substance use and severe mental health diagnosis. Furthermore, aiding individuals reinstating into the community after involvement in mental health hospitals crisis unit, substance abuse treatment in outpatient/inpatient clinics. I help initiate various strength-based substance abuse pilot programs providing community support to children and adults with co-occurring disorders. I also served as a clinical supervisor, clinical director and executive director.
