My clinical focus includes a strong specialization in gambling disorder treatment, as well as helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship struggles. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients—from adolescents to older adults—and strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment where every person feels heard, respected, and empowered. For those who wish to explore it, I welcome the opportunity to discuss how faith and spirituality can play a meaningful role in healing and recovery. Whether you’re seeking clarity, recovery, or personal growth, I’m here to walk alongside you at your own pace. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, we will discuss your reasons for seeking treatment and your specific goals for therapy. I will listen closely to your concerns and help develop a plan to reach your goals. We will establish a safe, and trusting environment where you can express your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a therapist comes from over 20 years of experience walking alongside individuals through some of life’s most difficult and transformative moments. I offer a therapeutic relationship grounded in compassion, deep listening, and unconditional acceptance, creating a space where people feel safe to be fully themselves. I have spent many years working with individuals with disabilities, helping them navigate emotional, physical, and vocational challenges with dignity and purpose. This has shaped my passion for supporting career transitions, whether due to disability, life change, or a desire for a new direction. I also specialize in treating gambling disorder, helping clients regain control over their finances, relationships, and overall well-being through a blend of evidence-based practices and a practical, down-to-earth approach. For those who wish to include it, I welcome the opportunity to explore how faith and spirituality can be sources of strength and healing during the recovery and growth process. I believe in honoring the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. No matter your story, I believe in your inherent worth and your capacity to heal and thrive—and I’m honored to walk alongside you on that journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with individuals—adults and adolescents—who are navigating life’s challenges and transitions, whether it’s stress, loss, relationship changes, career shifts, addiction, or personal growth. I have a special focus on supporting those impacted by gambling disorder, helping them find stability, healing, and renewed purpose. I take a down-to-earth, common-sense approach to therapy, using evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to support meaningful change at each person’s pace. At the core of my work is a deep belief in the inherent worth and dignity of every person. I strive to create a therapeutic space that is safe, compassionate, and free of judgment—where individuals can reconnect with their strengths and move forward with confidence. For those who find strength in their spirituality, I also welcome the integration of faith into the therapeutic process, honoring its role in healing and recovery.

My treatment methods

Motivational Interviewing

In our sessions, I use a technique called motivational interviewing to help you explore your goals, values, and any ambivalence you might feel about making changes. It's a collaborative and respectful approach—I'm not here to pressure you or tell you what to do, but to help you uncover your own motivation for change. Together, we'll talk about what's important to you, what changes you’re considering, and what might be getting in the way. I’ll ask open-ended questions, listen carefully, and reflect back what I hear so you can gain clarity and confidence in your next steps. If you're feeling stuck or unsure, this approach can help you move forward at your own pace with greater self-awareness and intention. Motivational interviewing works especially well if you're facing a change that feels overwhelming—like managing urges, setting boundaries, or rebuilding after a setback. We’ll focus on your strengths, not your shortcomings.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In our work together, I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because it’s a practical, evidence-based approach that helps people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. We’ll explore the patterns in your thinking—especially the ones that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, depression, or unwanted behaviors. Many times, we aren’t fully aware of how automatic thoughts or beliefs can shape the way we feel and act. Together, we’ll identify those patterns and work on reshaping them in ways that are more realistic, balanced, and supportive of your goals. I’ll guide you through exercises that help you: Recognize unhelpful thoughts Challenge and reframe those thoughts Practice new behaviors and coping skills Track progress between sessions CBT is active and goal-oriented. That means you’ll leave sessions with strategies you can use in daily life—not just insight, but tools to help you move forward with confidence.
