New to Grow
i, I'm Leonard G. Crider, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Louisiana offering telehealth therapy for adults. I work with a lot of men navigating things they've never had a real space to talk through, and I provide LGBTQ+ affirming care for clients who want a therapist who understands the landscape without needing it explained from scratch. My own varied life and work experience gives me a genuine, grounded perspective on how differently people move through hard things — I bring that into every session. My goal is to help you work through whatever life is throwing at you right now, rooted in real respect for who you are.
Our first session is mostly about getting oriented — some background on what's brought you in, mixed with getting to know each other. From there, we'll figure out together how I can best support you on your path.
My own path has taken me through a wide range of experiences, and that's given me a real appreciation for how differently people move through the world. I bring that understanding into sessions — I'm not here to assume I know your story, I'm here to listen to it and help you make sense of it. I use a blend of approaches so we can find what actually works for you rather than a one-size-fits-all plan. Some sessions might focus on practical coping skills, others on deeper patterns, and others on reconnecting with your body's signals.
For me, an ideal client is someone who's ready to do the work — willing to show up, be honest in session, and put in effort between sessions too. You don't need to have it figured out before we start. You just need to be willing to look at both the hard parts and the hopeful parts of what brought you here, and let me be a partner in that process.
I am focused on working with you to help you work through whatever is causing distress at this moment.
