My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I've have used this modality throughout my practice as CBT supports significant reduction in stress and anxiety through the process of understanding thought patterns that play a role in emotions and behaviors and how to reframe those thought patterns.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I utilize the Acceptance and Commitment modality when appropriate as ACT can help clients to establish and maintain mental wellbeing in the midst of difficulties.

Psychoeducation

I place strong emphasis on incorporating psychoeducation in therapy because it helps clients understand what they are experiencing, why it is happening, and how change is possible. When clients gain knowledge about their mental health, symptoms often become less frightening, more manageable, and more treatable.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I utilize Trauma-Focused CBT in my work when appropriate as t helps clients safely process traumatic experiences while building the skills needed to restore healthy emotional functioning.
