New to Grow
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I provide a supportive and empowering space for individuals who are ready to deepen their self-understanding, heal from past experiences, and create more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. I work especially closely with women and people of color who may be navigating the unique emotional impacts of cultural expectations, generational patterns, systemic stress, and life transitions. I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, burnout, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who appear to have it all together on the outside but feel exhausted, stuck, or disconnected on the inside. Therapy can be a place where you finally slow down, reflect, and focus on your own needs.
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing at your own pace. During this session, we will talk about what has brought you to therapy, the challenges you may be experiencing, and what you hope to gain from the process. I may ask questions about different areas of your life, such as relationships, stressors, personal history, and current supports, to better understand your experiences and the context surrounding them. Together, we will begin identifying goals for therapy and discuss how we might work toward those goals. Some clients come in with very clear objectives, while others are still exploring what they need, and both approaches are completely welcome. Most importantly, the first session is about creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. By the end of our time together, you should have a clearer sense of how I work and whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit for you.
My approach to therapy is relational, culturally responsive, and grounded in both clinical expertise and deep respect for each client’s lived experience. Together, we explore patterns, relationships, and internal narratives that may be keeping you stuck, while also identifying the strengths, resilience, and wisdom you already carry. Whether you are working through anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, identity exploration, grief, or the weight of navigating multiple worlds, our work will move at a pace that feels safe and meaningful for you. I believe that healing happens in spaces where people feel genuinely understood. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment where you can show up fully, as you are, without needing to minimize, explain, or translate your experiences. If you’re looking for a therapist who values authenticity, cultural awareness, and deep relational work, I would be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey.
