New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who helps individuals and couples heal, grow, and reconnect with a sense of purpose. I work with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, addiction recovery, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported, while also gently challenged to move toward meaningful change. Frank Lloyd Wright once said, “I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen.” This belief grounds my work. I bring both clinical expertise and real-life experience into our sessions, offering practical tools, insight, and steady support. Draw from my knowledge, and let’s move forward together.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session is about creating comfort, clarity, and trust. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you emotionally, and what you hope to change or heal. I’ll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and help you begin making sense of patterns that may feel overwhelming or confusing right now. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to show up as you are, we’ll take it from there, together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What sets my work apart is my ability to hold space with warmth, honesty, and intention. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and person-centered care, tailoring each session to your unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. My style is collaborative, direct when needed, and always compassionate. With experience in trauma recovery, addiction treatment, faith-based integration, and relationship healing, I help clients move from survival mode into grounded, intentional living. My goal is not just insight, but real, sustainable change you can feel in your day-to-day life.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals who feel stuck, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves. Many are navigating trauma, high-functioning burnout, relationship wounds, early recovery, or questions around identity, purpose, or faith. They may be highly self-aware, or learning how to be, and are ready to do the deeper work of healing and breaking patterns that no longer serve them. They want therapy that feels emotionally attuned, honest, and practical. If you value depth, clarity, and meaningful growth, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT to help clients develop practical tools for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and healthier communication. In our work together, I integrate DBT skills into real-life situations, especially for clients navigating anxiety, trauma responses, or relationship struggles. Whether we're exploring triggers or building better boundaries, DBT offers a grounding structure that supports clients in shifting from emotional reactivity to intentional response. My goal is to help you feel more in control, balanced, and able to pause before reacting, so you can make choices that align with your values.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients identify the unhelpful thought patterns that fuel anxiety, shame, or self-sabotage. Together, we uncover the connections between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, then practice reframing those patterns with healthier, more empowering perspectives. CBT is especially helpful for clients who want practical tools to manage intrusive thoughts, set boundaries, and shift their inner dialogue toward growth.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
At the heart of my approach is a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, honesty, and unconditional positive regard. I use Person-Centered Therapy to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and respected. This method honors your autonomy, your pace, and your voice, helping you reconnect with your inner wisdom and make meaningful changes that align with who you truly are.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients break free from the pressure to "fix" every thought or feeling and instead focus on creating a life aligned with their values. Together, we build mindfulness skills, identify what truly matters to you, and take intentional action, even when emotions feel uncomfortable. ACT helps shift from avoidance to acceptance, and from fear to freedom.
Faith based therapy
For clients who wish to explore therapy through a faith-based lens, I integrate Christian values and spiritual reflection into our work. This approach honors your beliefs while addressing emotional wounds, helping you find healing, purpose, and direction rooted in both faith and clinical care.
