Hey there! I'm Jasmine I am a licensed mental health clinician dedicated to helping individuals heal, grow, and thrive through authentic connection and compassionate care. My work is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered practices that honor each client’s unique story. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their emotions, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know one another and begin building a foundation of trust. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what support looks like for you. We’ll explore your history, current concerns, and any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. My goal is to create a calm, collaborative space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered as we begin working toward your healing and growth.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My therapeutic approach blends clinical expertise with authenticity and compassion. I create a safe, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive space where clients feel understood and empowered to grow. Using an integrative, person-centered framework, I tailor interventions to each client’s needs while fostering insight, emotional regulation, and resilience. My greatest strength lies in building genuine connections that support meaningful and lasting change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
My ideal clients are individuals who are ready to engage in meaningful self-work, explore their emotions, and break cycles that no longer serve them. I am best positioned to serve adults navigating life transitions, anxiety, relationship challenges, or the impact of trauma. Many of my clients value authenticity, personal growth, and holistic wellness. They seek therapy not only for symptom relief but also for deeper understanding, healing, and empowerment. Together, we work toward developing insight, strengthening emotional resilience, and creating sustainable change aligned with their values and goals.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my clinical practice, I've employed various CBT techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and exposure therapy to help clients challenge and modify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors. This often involves collaboratively setting goals, identifying and challenging negative beliefs, and practicing new coping skills. Through CBT, clients can develop more adaptive ways of thinking and behaving, leading to symptom reduction and improved quality of life.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
In my clinical experience, I've utilized DBT techniques to help clients build skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. This often involves teaching clients mindfulness practices to increase awareness of their thoughts and emotions, providing strategies to tolerate distress without resorting to harmful behaviors, assisting in identifying and regulating intense emotions, and improving communication and relationship skills. Through DBT, clients can learn to manage their emotions more effectively, enhance their interpersonal relationships, and cultivate a greater sense of well-being and stability.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
In my clinical practice, I've employed Person-Centered Therapy, also known as Rogerian therapy, which emphasizes creating a supportive and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel accepted and understood. My experience with this approach involves actively listening to clients, demonstrating empathy, and fostering a genuine and authentic therapeutic relationship. Rather than providing direct advice or interpretation, I strive to help clients explore their own thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. Through this process of self-exploration and reflection, clients often gain greater insight into themselves, develop a stronger sense of self-acceptance, and experience personal growth and empowerment.
EMDR
I use EMDR to help clients process distressing memories, reduce emotional triggers, and heal from trauma in a structured and evidence-based way. Through guided eye movements or bilateral stimulation, EMDR allows the brain to reprocess painful experiences so they no longer feel overwhelming or defining. This approach helps clients build resilience, regain a sense of safety, and move forward with greater emotional freedom and clarity.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I use a mindfulness-based approach that helps clients slow down, tune into their emotions, and build awareness of their thoughts, body, and inner experiences. By incorporating grounding techniques, breathwork, and present-moment reflection, I support clients in reducing stress, increasing emotional regulation, and responding to challenges with greater clarity and intention. This approach empowers clients to develop healthier coping skills and create meaningful, lasting change.
