I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 16 years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, trauma, attachment patterns, and major life transitions. I specialize in working with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum changes, identity shifts, and relationship transitions, as well as individuals facing divorce, high-stress careers, and emotional burnout—including first responders. My approach is integrative, relational, and grounded in evidence-based care, with a strong focus on nervous system regulation, emotional safety, and practical coping strategies. I help clients move out of survival mode, strengthen boundaries, and reconnect with a sense of stability, confidence, and alignment in their lives and relationships.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first sessions together, we’ll begin with brief introductions and a thorough assessment of your history, current concerns, and any previous efforts you’ve made to address them. You’ll be asked to complete standardized measures such as depression and anxiety screenings, along with any additional assessments that may help with diagnosis and tracking progress. We will review these together so you understand how they inform your care. From there, we’ll focus on the specific challenges you’re facing and collaborate on a clear, personalized plan for our work together. This plan will guide our sessions and remain flexible as your needs, goals, and progress evolve over time.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My clients often describe my manner as authentic, approachable, warm, and encouraging, and my therapeutic style as direct, structured, and respectful. I use thoughtful, clinically informed questioning to help clients gain insight, increase self-awareness, and identify patterns that may be contributing to current distress. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and professional therapeutic environment that encourages honesty, emotional expression, and growth. My work focuses on integrating emotional awareness, behavioral change, and practical coping strategies to support improved functioning, resilience, and overall mental health.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with adults navigating a wide range of emotional, relational, and life challenges, with particular experience supporting women and individuals facing major life transitions, including pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, dating, relationship changes, and divorce. My work also includes supporting first responders and individuals in high-stress roles who are managing anxiety, burnout, trauma exposure, and the emotional demands of their careers. Clients often seek support for concerns such as relationship struggles, self-esteem, mood-related difficulties including depression and anxiety, adjustment-related stress, grief and loss, sexuality and identity exploration, and disordered eating patterns, including eating disorders such as bulimia nervosa and compulsive or emotionally driven eating. When appropriate, I incorporate exploration of spiritual concerns and personal meaning within a grounded, clinically appropriate therapeutic framework. Many clients come to therapy wanting practical tools, improved emotional regulation, healthier boundaries, and support in creating sustainable change during periods of stress or transition.
Eclectic
My treatment style is eclectic, drawing from a range of evidence-based methods to meet each client’s unique needs. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems, and Psychodrama. With advanced certification as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), I am equipped to address the complex emotional, behavioral, and nutritional aspects of eating disorders. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, eating issues, or major life changes, I integrate these approaches thoughtfully to support your growth, healing, and meaningful change.
