New to Grow
I am a mental health professional with over 14 years of experience in the behavioral health field. I spent nine years working in case management within a community mental health center, followed by the past five years providing care in an inpatient and outpatient behavioral health hospital setting. This background has allowed me to work with individuals across varying levels of care and support clients through acute challenges as well as long-term recovery.
Our first session will focus on getting to know you. We’ll discuss your personal history, previous mental health treatment experiences, any current medications, and what has brought you to therapy at this time. Together, we’ll identify your treatment goals and explore a realistic timeline for achieving them. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions about my experience, therapeutic approach, and how I can best support you.
I believe my greatest strength as a therapist is my personal experience with depression, anxiety, and addiction. This lived experience gives me a unique perspective and allows me to connect with clients in a genuine, empathetic, and nonjudgmental way. I understand firsthand how challenging the healing process can be, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood.
My ideal client would be someone who struggles with anxiety, depression and/or substance/alcohol used disorders. I prefer people who are in treatment of their own volition. I have experience with some personality disorders, some SMI, but I have the greatest experience with anxiety, depression, and substance/alcohol use Disorders. Ideally, the person is treatment, focused, and solution focused, has an optimistic outlook on treatment and the hope that it will be helpful.
