New to Grow
I am a mental health professional with over 14 years of experience in the behavioral health field. I spent nine years working in case management within a community mental health center, followed by the past five years providing care in an inpatient and outpatient behavioral health hospital setting. This background has allowed me to work with individuals across varying levels of care and support clients through acute challenges as well as long-term recovery.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will focus on getting to know you. We’ll discuss your personal history, previous mental health treatment experiences, any current medications, and what has brought you to therapy at this time. Together, we’ll identify your treatment goals and explore a realistic timeline for achieving them. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask any questions about my experience, therapeutic approach, and how I can best support you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe my greatest strength as a therapist is my personal experience with depression, anxiety, and addiction. This lived experience gives me a unique perspective and allows me to connect with clients in a genuine, empathetic, and nonjudgmental way. I understand firsthand how challenging the healing process can be, and I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work best with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use or alcohol use concerns, and issues related to self-esteem. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves and others, and are seeking support to better understand their emotions, build healthier coping skills, and create meaningful change in their lives.
Eclectic
I use a variety of methods in my practice. Primarily, I use CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Interpersonal, Psychoeducation, and Positive Psychology
