Hi, I’m Lauren, and I’m glad you’re here. I know how overwhelming it can be to take the first step towards change. I work with people navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, emotional regulation challenges, and reproductive trauma—whether that includes fertility issues, loss, birth trauma, or the complex emotions around these experiences. These are deeply personal and often isolating journeys, and you don’t have to go through them alone. In our work together, we’ll create a space where your story can unfold at your own pace. I’m here to help you reconnect with your voice, explore what’s feeling stuck or heavy, and build the emotional tools you need to move forward with more clarity and self-compassion. You don’t have to have all the answers to begin. You just have to show up—and I’ll meet you there.
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for our work together. I’ll invite you to share what brought you to therapy, explore some of your background, and talk through what you’re hoping to get out of the process. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you—there’s no pressure to share everything right away. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and heard as we begin identifying your goals and the areas you’d like to focus on in therapy.
I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work as a therapist. Before becoming a clinician, I worked as a sexual assault advocate, supporting women through moments of acute crisis. That experience taught me how to hold space with steadiness, compassion, and respect for each person’s unique healing process. I also have personal experience with reproductive trauma, which deepens my empathy and allows me to connect with clients facing similar pain in a way that feels validating and grounded. In therapy, I show up with warmth, curiosity, and care—but I also believe in the importance of challenge. I’m not here to just nod along; I’ll walk alongside you while also gently encouraging growth, helping you stretch in ways that feel meaningful and empowering. My clients often describe our work as a balance of support and movement—safe, but not stagnant.
I take a collaborative, goal-oriented approach to therapy, integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build practical coping skills and emotional balance, along with Narrative Therapy to explore how their experiences have shaped their identity—and how they can begin to rewrite the story. I’m especially energized by working with people who are open to reflection, willing to challenge themselves, and committed to making meaningful, lasting change with support.
I have practiced CBT throughout my entire career with therapy. I use this method to help clients gain insight into how thoughts and feelings relate to behaviors.
I am certified in DBT and use this treatment modality to address emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.
I use narrative therapy to help clients rewrite their own life story and more positive and empowering perspectives.
I use strength based perspective to encourage clients to recognize their own personal strengths and build resilience to overcome challenges.
