I am Holly Wells, LCSW in Connecticut. I recieved my undergraduate degree from St. Lawrence University, my MSW from Smith College, and have been working as a therapist for 40 years. I am authentic, relaxed and accepting. I want to learn about you and your life. I hope you will share your interests and your strengths as well as the people and ideas that are important to you. I also want to hear about your concerns and your struggles so that together we can work towards your goals and dreams.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I fully believe in “the right fit” between the therapist and the client. There is a certain sense of connection and understanding which is critical to the therapeutic alliance. In our first session we will spend some time chatting and getting to know each other. I will be asking you some questions about your current situation and probably some questions about your past. I am also open to questions you may have about me or about the therapeutic process. I will treat you with respect and empathy and together we will begin planning for your therapeutic journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My style is very relaxed, and it is likely that you will feel at ease fairly quickly. I accept and value your uniqueness and your true self is safe with me. I have great respect for your life journey and I will go at your pace as you experience growth, decreased distress and increased peace and happiness.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

During my many years as a therapist, I have worked with a wide variety of clients. I particularly enjoy working with women of all ages. That being said, I am open to working with any client who is struggling with transition, loss, a specific life issue, a relationship issue, or struggles with anxiety and/or depression.
