(she/her)
I've been a counselor for a little over 15 years and do both consulting and mental health counseling through TeamFirst Solutions, PLLC. I've most often worked with teens, women and parents as they navigate their lives. Helping survivors of trauma is a particular passion of mine, and probably the one where I've had the most experience. Helping clients navigate life transitions like heading to college or finding direction after a major life event like divorce is an area of expertise for me as well. I value warm, inclusive spaces where people feel affirmed and cared about. I want my support to be practical, tailored to the individual, and help clients start to feel better fast. I'm grateful for experiences in case management, crisis work, private practice, and program leadership. I have experience teaching continuing education to fellow counselors and spent time as faculty in higher education. I think those diverse experiences have helped me learn how to solve real-world challenges, learn new treatment approaches, and meet people's needs in practical and accessible ways. I genuinely care about my clients and want to give my very best to help.
First sessions can be so anxiety-provoking for clients! It's a time of unknowns. What if I'm different than you imagined me to be? :) I'll do my best to ease your nerves. In the first session, my goals are to answer your questions, go over the therapy basics (e.g., consent, safety needs), get to know you, and offer you some space to decompress from the circumstances that brought you to therapy in the first place.
I have a deep appreciation for context. No one lives in a vacuum. Life is hard at times. Also, life can and does change - all the time. Peaks and valleys define all of our human experiences over time. I think I tend to be practical and solution-focused. I want to help people live their best lives.
Attachment-based
Relationships, especially ones in early life, can form the basis of how we anchor our lives and view the world. How we see ourselves and understand our needs in relationship with others. I help clients consider and process these attachments and connect feelings to unmet needs.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can be a great, practical, diverse resource to help us train our minds and bodies, especially when symptoms like anxiety or depression are flared up and causing trouble.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Compassionate, person-driven, tailored care that appreciates the unique, candid experiences we each have is important to honoring whole-person health.
Trauma-Focused CBT
The majority of my clinical experience has been helping others process and heal from trauma. Trauma-focused CBT helps survivors with the lingering mental, physical and emotional effects of trauma.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
The brain-body connection is so important. During in-person counseling, I have used hypnosis in my practice. For virtual settings, I think mindfulness-based practice can draw on similar concepts.

Tiffany is one of the best people I’ve met in a long time. It’s very refreshing to be able to share my experiences and feel both seen and heard by her. Her presence feels both safe and inviting. I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to be connected with her.
