I am good at what I do. And this is because I am very well trained professionally, and even better trained by life experience. I was first a sister, a daughter, a granddaughter, a niece and a cousin. Then I was a friend, and a wife and a mother. Then I was a young widow, alone, in shock, with two babies ... and somehow, (I know how), I made it through that darkness. Many Years Later, I am a mother of two well-functioning and loving adult children, I am a grateful and devoted daughter, and I am a LPC with 20+ years of professional experience who loves what I do and who believes my purpose is to help my clients find peace, stability, mental balance and wellness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session will be an opportunity for me to get to know and understand You. We will discuss your background and what brings you to therapy. We will customize a plan that works best for you and update it over time based on your needs, at a pace that is comfortable for you. The first session is also your opportunity to determine if you are comfortable with me. It is very important you feel good, and safe, and supported in your therapeutic choice!

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I practice active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with me as an empathetic partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient. I believe therapy is a dynamic exchange based on Trust. Together, we'll identify and set goals that are important to you. Your goals may change as you gain healthy insights. We will customize a plan based on your priorities and healthy choices, updated as needed. I'm here to provide you with the support and tools necessary for achieving balance. I specialize and am Credentialed via EAGALA and AAAIP in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy, utilizing horses and dogs. I offer traditional 1:1 and Group therapy as well as Animal assisted modalities, with two certified therapy dogs and twelve therapy horses. I have worked with a truly expansive range of emotional, psychological, and behavioral struggles of individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and life situations. I strive to be a supportive and steady presence for all my clients seeking therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with older teens and adults of all ages managing anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and insecurity as they work through all aspects and types of traumas. I'll work with you on your journey to mental health, balance and wellness, helping you navigate the therapeutic process as you strive to achieve your goals.
