About me

I believe therapy is more than a place to talk-it's space to be seen, heard, understood, challenged, and supported as you make meaningful changes in your life. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship and family challenges, grief, self-esteem concerns, career stress, and the emotional weight of day to day living.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, what you’d like to change or understand, and what feels most important to focus on. You don’t need to have it all figured out—many people begin therapy simply knowing something doesn’t feel right or that they want things to be different.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is warm, compassionate, collaborative and direct. I listen carefully-not only to what is being said, but also to patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may shape how you see yourself and relate to others. Together, we explore what is beneath the surface, identify what is no longer serving you and develop practical ways to move forward.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Your ideal client is thoughtful, capable on the outside yet often overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected within. Many spent their life caring for others and face self-doubt, relationship stress, or life transitions and seek a safe, supportive space to slow down, understand patterns, and create meaningful change through insight and collaboration. Working with clients that have experienced counseling but have not quite achieved the goals they expected holds a special place for me because therapy can be two steps forward and one step back, making the right client-therapist alignment very important.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a type of therapy that helps people better understand and manage difficult emotions and improve their relationships with others. Unlike traditional CBT, DBT teaches people how to accept uncomfortable thoughts and feelings while also learning healthier ways to respond to them. DBT aids in emotional-regulation because it helps people understand what triggers strong emotions and how those emotions affect their thoughts and behaviors. In my practice I find DBT to be especially helpful for people dealing with depression, anxiety and other emotional challenges. DBT combines individual therapy with skills training. People learn practical skills such as staying present and mindfulness, coping with stress, grounding,, managing strong emotions, and communicating more effectively with others.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. In my practice, I help clients recognize unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking. CBT also addresses behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. Together, we explore practical strategies for managing stress, solving problems, facing challenges, and making positive changes. CBT is structured and goal-oriented, often including skill practice and steps to use between sessions. It can help with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and other emotional challenges.

Attachment-based

Attachment-Based Therapy helps people understand how their early relationships and attachment experiences influence their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships today. In my practice, I help clients explore patterns in their relationships, identify unmet emotional needs, and develop a stronger sense of safety and trust. Attachment-based therapy also addresses behaviors that may develop in response to past relationship experiences, such as withdrawing, becoming overly dependent, avoiding closeness, or fearing rejection. Together, we work to understand these patterns without judgment and develop healthier ways to communicate, set boundaries, manage emotions, and build secure relationships. This approach is collaborative, supportive, and focused on creating a safe therapeutic relationship. It can help with relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma-related concerns, and challenges with trust or emotional connection.
