Are you a woman of color who is tired of code-switching, wanting a therapist who is more "out of the box"? I am your girl! I am all about holistic care for BIPOC women, where we go on your healing journey together, at your pace. Let's see if we are a good fit for one another; I specialize in trauma and somatic therapy, inner child work, working on the Mother wound, abandonment issues, sexual abuse in childhood, and ways to heal as an adult woman from that trauma, as well as intergenerational trauma of first-gen population, and epigenetic trauma of those that came before us--- I can help you look at different perspectives, walk with you through trauma, and support you as you become the best version of yourself.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Connection is really important so expect a lot of questions around what brings you to therapy, what are your goals, expectations, and fears.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I meet clients where they are and take all the necessary time to get to know my clients so they feel like they have a safe space to be themselves. I specialize in adults that have experienced sexual trauma, first-generation immigrants, first-timers to the therapy world, and in being able to approach healing with a holistic lens. ** At this time, I am not accepting any couples as clients** ***Once booking your intake appointment please fill out the three questionnaires in order to keep your intake slot***

My treatment methods

Somatic

I believe in the impact trauma has on our body and I will work with my clients on ways to connect with their bodies in a healthy way.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Culturally sensitive therapy will typically lead with a thorough assessment of the culture the client identifies with. This approach can both help a client feel comfortable and at ease, and lead to more positive therapeutic outcomes – for example, depression may look different depending on your cultural background, even gender.

EMDR

I have been trained in EMDR and will use it as a tool in helping clients heal from past trauma.
